About Segway Tours at Botanical World
While the fun and exhilaration of riding a Segway hit Hawaii in 2005, the Board of Directors of Botanical World Gardens, Inc. began planning to add a Segway PT adventure in September of 2010. Shortly thereafter, Segway PTs arrived at Botanical World Gardens and Waterfalls to test their feasibility in the gardens and rainforest. Glides by staff, executives, board members, and officers of the corporation were taken with thrill and enthusiasm. These glide rides sealed the decision to proceed with plans.
The Board of Directors approved the project in January of 2011. Construction commenced in June 2011 with trails and bridges quickly completed. Segway PT Off Road at Botanical World officially opened for its first tour at the beginning of August 2011.
