Hop on a bike and discover the beauty of Hakalau as you ride through the amazing scenery that this unique area has to offer! Taking off from Botanical World Adventures, your incredible journey takes you through an area of the Hamakua Coast that was once dominated by Hawaii’s sugar industry.
The tour then makes its way through a segment of the Old Mamalahoa Highway. Surrounded by green rolling pastures and lush scenery, this once-well-traveled road takes us back in time as you make your way through old plantation villages. These historic backroads also take you over bridges from the early 1900s!
Pass communities built up and brought down with the industry and become mesmerized by the abundance of greenery… all while taking in the sights of pristine streams and waterfalls that cascade down from conservation land on the slopes of Mauna Kea! This is one ride you’re not likely to forget!
